Kimberanne Weaver
Day 1
Posted January 10, 2011 by Kimberanne Weaver in Body For Life

I start my adventure today with the Body For Life 12 week fitness
challenge.  I'm excited, but also will admit that I'm a bit nervous as
well.  I'm more than ready to regain my health and feel better, but
nervous that I'll get tired of the somewhat limited food choices.  The
author of the book, The 4 Hour Body, suggests that you plan a few meals and
stick to them as it will make shopping and preparing easier.  So, you will see that I end up having a lot of
the same foods during the week.

Both food plans encourage you to eat anything and everything you want to one
day per week.  I plan on having Saturday
be my day off, but may have to adjust that due to schedule demands.

So, I'm going to start my public journal about my process and
progress.  Although I won't post my weight, I will share with you the
results.  Smile

For this challenge I am following the 4 Hour Body diet that limits processed
carbs and grains more than the Body For Life diet does.  The nice thing is that the 4 Hour Body
guidelines do allow a glass of red wine per day.   (I’m saving that for this evening when I
open up a good book)

My foods today:

Breakfast:

  • EAS Protein Shake

Lunch:

Grilled Chicken Salad made with-

  •  Grilled Chicken
    breast

  • 2 hard boiled eggs

  • Lettuce

  • Tomato

  • 2 tbs Newman’s Own Lite Honey Mustard Dressing

Dinner:

Fajita Bowl

  • Shredded Pork Sirlon

  • Red peppers

  • Onions

  • ½ sliced Avacado

  • Lettuce

  • Tomato

  • Black Beans

  • 1 Tbs lite Sour Cream

As I write this I’m on my 8th glass of
water.  The goal is 8-10 glasses per
day.
